"Our MP Says"

MP for Teignbridge, Richard Younger-Ross, questions the need for any supermarket development and is against the idea of developing the Sandy Lane recreation area and playing fields. This is why he’s held a public meeting on Tuesday 12th February.

The purpose of the meeting was to consult, the questions being 'Does Dawlish need a new supermarket, and if so where?' .  To ensure a balanced debate Richard invited speakers from both supermarkets as well as Friends of the Earth and CPRE along with local interested parties. 

Perhaps not surprisingly, the supermarkets didn't show up!!!   But plenty of residents did.  Viewpoints were wide and varied.   Richard's office is still collecting responses.
